Riding the Pink Wave: Metrohm France at the «Foulées de Courtaboeuf» Running Race

For all of us, every year is composed of some important events and dates that we must highlight on our calendars: annual meetings, holidays, hairdresser appointments, children’s year end school fair, and some anniversaries (which we usually forget)…
For all our Metrohm France colleagues, there is another date to check: the «Foulées de Courtaboeuf» running race!

With two races of 5 and 10 km, this run is accessible to all kinds of runners and has a fun atmosphere. It starts at 6.30 pm, right after our working day has ended. All the companies from our industrial area are invited to send participants, which add up to around 500 every year.

This year was special for Metrohm France because we made a special 75th anniversary shirt. In the past, we used regular white shirts with the traditional green logo. But since last year, we chose to get more flashy colors to be recognized more easily in the crowd. This year, after an internal draw, we decided for pink. With twenty-one registered runners (rank n°5 in number of participants) and more than twenty supporters, a new record was broken and we could see at the start of the race a massive Metrohm pink wave (first picture of the post)!

Among the participating companies, there were some of our customers (Eurofins, Weissling, LFB), but also some neighbor companies from the laboratory instruments world like Perkin Elmer, Anton Paar, AB Sciex, Agilent, and Thermo. None of them had more participants than Metrohm!

After the race, Metrohm runners, supporters, family, and children gathered in the office for a picnic where the performances were discussed among other things until late evening. At the end of day, the body hurt, but it was for a lot of fun and smiles (as usual!). And as all good things come to an end, it was time to go back home and wait for next year to check the «Foulée de Courtaboeuf» date in our 2019 calendar.
