Žalec Beer Fountain

Žalec is a small town in Slovenia with not even 5000 inhabitants, but there’s one big attraction that draws tourists here from inside and outside Slovenia: a beer fountain. The region is famous for producing hops, and Žalec is home to the Slovenian Institute of Hop Research and Brewing. So when the question was raised a few years ago how more tourists could be attracted to the small town, the idea of a beer fountain came up. In 2016, it opened its taps. Together with colleagues from our distributor Primalab who joined from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, and Bosnia, we went to visit the Žalec Beer Fountain. Here are some impressions!
