From Heat to Electricity: Metrohm Young Chemist Award Switzerland

Metrohm Switzerland has a lot to celebrate this year: not only the 75th anniversary of Metrohm, but also its own 10th anniversary and the opening of its new quarters. The company therefore hosted a big event. Customers, the local public, and of course employees and their families were invited. But more on that in my next post. For now, I’d like to focus on one special guest: the winner of Metrohm Switzerland’s Young Chemist Award, Sunny Maye. Sunny is a Ph.D. student at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne (EPFL) and is researching the conversion of heat energy to chemical energy, which is stored in batteries and used as electricity.
