Professor Ho and His Magic Mirror

No, Professor Ho’s mirror doesn’t tell you who is the fairest of them all. Professor Kuo-Chuan Ho has been researching electrochromic materials at the National Taiwan University in Taipei since 1993. These materials undergo a color change when a voltage is applied to them. The anti-glare rearview mirror, which turns dark when the high-beam headlights of a car behind hit it, is one of the most successful applications of electrochromic materials so far. Professor Ho is not only a VIP customer of local Metrohm distributor Hammer Trading, but also a great explainer and passionate advocate for his science. Listen to him explain his research, future developments, and the role of his Metrohm Autolab equipment in it all in today’s video.
